A graduate of Columbia University's Historic Preservation and Real Estate Development programs, Gregory Dietrich has been working in the field of Historic Preservation for the past ten years. Having worked in both the public and private sectors, Gregory served as the Acting Director of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission's Historic Preservation Grant Program between 1999 and 2000 before undertaking the National Register Nomination of Lincoln Center for Landmark West! in 2001.

In 2002 he joined Cultural Resource Consulting Group (CRCG), where he managed the New York office since 2004. At CRCG, Gregory has been a project manager and principal investigator on a myriad of cultural resource studies, while also serving as the company's Director of the Historic Preservation Department. Studies for CRCG have included historic tax credit applications, historic architectural and landscape investigations, and all phases of Cultural Resource Management studies in order to satisfy state and federal regulatory permitting requirements. In addition, he has appeared before municipalities in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, offering expert review and testimony on a host of redevelopment applications affecting historic buildings and districts.

Together, these projects have afforded him a rare glimpse into a variety of historic building and landscape types that span New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, encompassing commercial and residential buildings and districts in urban, suburban, and rural settings, as well as institutional buildings, factories, parks, gardens, bridges, roads, and statuary. Located in Manhattan, Gregory Dietrich Preservation Consulting is ready to respond to virtually all of your preservation needs in the Tri-State area and beyond. Please contact him with any questions you may have.

For Gregory's perspective on the Lincoln Center redevelopment, read Robin Pogrebin's June 1st, 2009 New York Times article, When Renovation Meets Redo and listen to John Schaefer's July 23rd broadcast on WNYC's Soundcheck, The New Look of Lincoln Center.
